Nutritional Skincare: Frequently Asked Question

Quick answers to the questions we hear most
Is nutritional skincare the same thing as beauty supplements?
No — and this is the most common mix-up. Beauty supplements (sometimes called nutricosmetics) are ingestibles: powders, gummies, capsules you take internally for skin health. Nutritional skincare is the topical half of that same idea — feeding skin directly at the surface rather than waiting for nutrients to travel there through the bloodstream. Both approaches have a place. Boditonic is built specifically around caring for your skin from the outside-in. Read the full explanation →
Does this replace my moisturizer, serum, or other skincare?
It can...but it doesn't have to. Boditonic is the foundational bit underneath whatever else you enjoy using in your routine, not necessarily a replacement. Because of Derma Oil's fast absorption, it doesn't sit on top of skin or interfere with layering — you can still use SPF, makeup, or any other treatment on top.
How often should I apply it?
Daily. The greatest benefit of nutritional skincare is the compound effect — not simply a single use — similar to how one balanced meal doesn't transform your health but consistent nutrition over time does. Applied once, it feels good. Applied daily, it's the input your skin needs to be its best. More on the compound effect →
Which formula should I start with?
There is no wrong answer here. Because each formula contains the same vitamins, minerals, and nutrients at its core, the decision comes down to the mental state you want to cultivate: Energizing for a little boost, Calming for a personal moment, Grounding for steady consistency. Why does the label say "cold-pressed and cured"? What does that actually mean?
Cold-pressing preserves the nutrients that heat-and-solvent extraction all but eliminates. The curing process is Boditonic's extra step that makes that nutrient-dense oil absorb into the skin quickly and effectively, rather than sitting on the surface. It's also the reason why the formula rejects the inclusion of any parabens or preservatives. The full breakdown →
Is it suitable for all skin types?
Yes. The formulas are made entirely from plant derivatives. A limited number of functional, recognizable ingredients, absent of toxins and synthetic additives. As with any new product, we recommend a small patch test first should you have any preconceived concerns.
Does it have a strong scent?
Each formula carries the scent of its essential oil blend, which is part of how the state-based framing works — scent is part of the ritual, not an afterthought. All three are formulated to a consistent intensity; no one formula is stronger or more subtle than the other.
Where is it made?
Boditonic is made in Marin County, California.
